The Sunshine Sisters by Jane Green

The Sunshine SistersThe Sunshine Sisters by Jane Green

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jane Green has been one of my favorite authors for years. The cover of this book is a bit misleading and appears to be a beach book but the name is based on the Sunshine family. Ronni Sunshine is a B-list actress who’s only focus in life is becoming an A-list star even if that means sacrificing time with her three daughters.

This story moves from past to present where Ronni is in her 60’s diagnosed with ALS and has decided to end her life before the disease progresses. Before she does, she wants to make amends with her daughters and strengthen their relationship with each other.

Chapters go into each sisters lives as well as their Mothers and the drama or issues going on in each of their lives. I didn’t find I truly liked any of the characters in this story and found the storyline dragged a bit. I have Jane Green books I read over and over and love dearly and while this one wasn’t bad it isn’t one I would read again.

I received an ARC of this book.
