The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedoti

The Hundred Lies of Lizzie LovettThe Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedoti

My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Hawthorn is a high school senior. She is insecure and not at all popular in her school. One morning before school, Hawthorn finds out her older brothers ex-girlfriend who was one of the most popular girls in school before she graduated is missing. She was camping in the woods with her boyfriend and he woke up the next morning and she was gone.

Hawthorn becomes obsessed with the disappearance of Lizzie the “perfect girl” on the boys wanted to date. She goes as far as to get a job at a dinner Lizzie was working at and chatting with her boyfriend she was last see with.

This book was a tough one to finish. Hawthorn was a very bland character and became very annoying as the book progressed. Her obsession with Lizzie was creepy and the book just dragged on and on. This book was horrible. It is basically a long drawn out story of an insecure (and a bit odd) teenager who obsesses over the disappearance of a former popular girl at school. That is pretty much it. I love to read but I didn’t love reading this book and cannot recommend it at all.

I received this book as an ARC for my honest and unbiased review. This book has currently not been published and is expected to be on 1/3/16.
